FAQ

Telescopic Washing Brush — FAQ

How do I clean my solar panels safely from the ground?

+

A water-fed telescopic washing brush lets you clean photovoltaic panels safely from the ground – no ladder, no high pressure. The HARTFELS carbon pole conducts electricity far less than aluminium, reducing risk when working near live modules. Always keep a safe distance from live parts.

Carbon or aluminium – which telescopic pole is better for PV cleaning?

+

Carbon fibre is roughly 40–60% lighter than aluminium, considerably more rigid, and far less electrically conductive. For cleaning solar arrays, that lower conductivity is a decisive safety advantage over an aluminium telescopic pole.

What length do I need for a conservatory, glass roof or façade?

+

For conservatories, patio roofs and ground-floor windows, the 4.8 m telescopic washing brush is usually enough. For two-storey façades, high glass roofs and large rooftop solar installations we recommend the 7.32 m model.

Can I connect the washing brush to my normal water supply?

+

Yes. The HARTFELS telescopic washing brush ships with a water connection and a long hose, and fits any standard garden hose or tap via quick-connect coupling – no adapter and no tools required.

Is the telescopic brush also suitable for motorhomes, caravans and cars?

+

Yes. The gentle bristles and pivoting brush head clean sensitive surfaces such as motorhomes, caravans and cars, as well as windows and façades, thoroughly and streak-free – with the integrated stainless-steel squeegee for a clear finish.
